Prima Finnabair Art Extravagance Texture Paste Clear Crackle

• Can be applied to various surfaces: This paste works on most surfaces, including canvas, wood, MDF/HDF bases, paper, metal, chipboard, fabric, plastic, and more.

• How to apply: Use a palette knife, texture tool, or silicone brush to apply the paste. The thicker the application, the more pronounced the cracks.

• Depth and Size of Crackles: If you would like larger crackles with more depth, apply a more generous amount of paste. For a more subtle crackle effect, apply less paste. Test out what amounts work well for you on a small project or something like a small wooden tag or surface.

• Allow to properly dry: Let this paste dry naturally. The drying time can vary from 1-5 hours depending on weather and environmental conditions such a temperature and humidity in one's creative space.

• Enhance your crackle texture: When crackle texture is dry, you can apply wax pastes, pigment or powder powders, inks, antiquing media into the crackles.

• Do you need to seal? For extra durability, you can seal the surface with a clear sealer after the paste has dried, however, this is optional. We personally seal our projects that have crackle texture. 

• What type of sealer do you seal with? A water-based sealer can be used to seal your crackles. We recommend Prima Finnabair Soft Gel Medium in Matte or Gloss. The Soft Gel will provide a protective layer maintaining the texture and appearance of your crackles.
